| AUCKLAND: Cupids' remarkable run of Olympic appearances has come to an end with his failure to make New Zealand's 2004 Olympic Archery Squad. Ailing eye sight and chronic arthritis in his left wrist has serverly impacted on Cupids performance over the last year.
This run of poor scores finally culminated in a disastrous performance at this years nationals where Cupid missed the target on 6 our of 10 attempts. "Its been a good run, but I think its time to hang up the old bow" Cupid said yesterday. Cupid went on to say that he would use the extra time he now had to focus on his other passion, horse racing. |
