Sampras retires to concentrate on growing kick arse afro

FLUSHING MEADOWS – Pete Sampras walked away from tennis last month with four out of his five lifelong goals achieved.

“I was world number one, I made over seventy million dollars in prize money, I hold the records in Grand Slam and Wimbledon titles, and I got myself a drop-dead gorgeous wife. There is nothing more that tennis can do for me,” Sampras said in a press conference at Arthur Ashe Stadium.

“There is however one remaining goal I’ve always strived for, to grow a serious, Harlum Globetrotters styled monster afro."

"I tried to do it along with Andre [Agassi] in the late eighties. He did it well, but mine got in the way and ruined my tennis. So now that I’m retiring, I can really focus on growing a kick-ass afro,” Sampras continued.

When asked how long it would take him to achieve his goal, Sampras said that if he stayed focused he could have a Michael Jackson ‘Off the Wall’ afro by next summer. “Once that happens, who knows? I may just get me to Jamaica, smoke some spliffs and chill a little,” he added.
