| VATICAN CITY: The Vatican has issued a surprise press release declaring that the pope does indeed smoke marijuana. Analysts state that the Vatican's claim will entitle the Catholic Church to a handsome share of the profits from Papal related novelty t-shirt sales the world over.
The popular t-shirts which picture the Pontiff hauling on a papal sized spliff, alongside the slogan “I like the Pope, the Pope smokes dope”, are sold by dodgy geezers and illegal immigrants the world over. It is estimated that the Industry could be worth up to $50 million ($120 million New Zealand) a year to the Vatican. The statement issued by the Pope's press secretary stated that “…there is nothing that JP and his buddies enjoy more after a hard days praying, then sit around, smoke a load of pot and talk about stuff in general. You know Nuns, sport, God, shit like that.”  |
