| PASADENA CA: The Beach Boys have finally released their much anticipated T-bird findings to the scientific community. The results of the study, published in the New England Journal of Medicine, have confirmed anecdotal evidence linking Fun, Fun, Fun and T-bird usage.
Beach Boys Head of Research Brian Wilson told reporters that the findings were based upon a study conducted over seven years on subjects in Southern California. Wilson stated that he and his fellow Beach Boys had found a Pearson’s Correlation Coefficient of 0.839 between Fun, Fun, Fun and T-bird usage, indicating that there is indeed a strong positive relationship between the two variables. The Beach Boys confirmed their findings by presenting the following regression equation, indicating the precise relation between Fun, Fun, Fun and T-bird usage at the 95% Confidence Level. Fun, Fun, Fun = 7.91836 + 0.834578 x T-Bird Usage Scientists and law makers alike are heralding the findings as a significant breakthrough for T-bird related research. Psychiatrists were also hoping the findings might lead to significant developments in the treatment of those suffering depression The goodness of fit (or r2) of 70.5% confirmed that 70.5% of Fun, Fun, Fun can be attributed to T-bird usage, while 29.5% may be attributable to outside factors - such as the consumption of milkshakes, fries and hamburgers and attendance at drive in movies and High School hops. Wilson was coy about what he and the Boys were researching next, but hinted that they were getting close to narrowing down the cause of the mysterious good vibrations that have been felt around the Bay cities lately. ![]() The regression plot showing association between T-bird usage and Fun Fun Fun |
