NEW YORK: Top fashion photographer Leif Bret has decided to make an appointment with his lawyer to clarify “this statutory rape thing once and for all.”

Bret who has become increasingly concerned about the law since reading a review about Roman Polanski’s latest film The Pianist, is determined to find out if the law is “still going” and if it applies to people in the fashion industry.

Bret, who has photographed a veritable who’s who of the Fashion World and has had his work published in such luminary publications as Vanity Fair, Vogue and Elle, has had sex with a 14-year-old model from Kansas, a 15-year-old lingerie model from Slovenia and a 14-year-old from Texas this week.

“Who would have thought that having sex with a 13-year-old used to be illegal,” Bret mused between shoots to hair stylist and friend Wes Figo. “Man it goes to show that there used to be some crazy laws around.”

Although vaguely aware of Polanksi, Bret just assumed he was dead or something as he hadn‘t met him at any recent New York premieres.

Bret, who is also currently unaware that supplying alcohol, amphetamines, diuretics and cocaine to minors is also currently illegal in most US states, made a mental note to ask his lawyer if the law extends to oral sex also, before popping out to an exciting celebrity bash at the Mezzanine Bar, one of Manhattans most exclusive hotspots.
