WASHINGTON: The CIA has offered advice to the US Army as it continues in its mission to find and assassinate suspected mastermind of the September 11 bombings Osama Bin Laden. The advice was offered to the head of the United States military operation Gen. Tommy R. Franks by the CIA's Director of Covert Operations Mark Merrick.

"Ideally you want a minimum of 3 shooters positioned high, and to the rear, and to the side of the subject, in this case, Bin Laden," offered Merrick, in an informal meeting in a busy Washington DC park. "If you can find out when Laden will be travelling in an open top vehicle at a slow pace, you could set up a real turkey shoot."

"The required triangulation of shooting positions would be most easily achieved in a built up area. We recommend that you ensure that there are lots of people around when the shootings take place so the assassins can take full advantage of the ensuing panic to make their escape."

Merrick was quick to add, "Ideally you should recruit a dim witted fall guy to take the rap, a kind of patsy if you will," but concluded that in times of war such as these, this is perhaps not an essential requirement.

General Franks was incredibly grateful for the advice and assured Merrick that every possible step would be taken to ensure the success of the plan. The men then briefly shook hands before vacating out of the two opposing park exits.
