LOS ANGELES: Former All Blacks Coach, Laurie Mains is to be the topic of a new Hollywood movie detailing his life story. The film to be produced by Miramax will chronicle the ups and downs of his coaching career starting with his work with Otago during the late 1980's through to his resignation as All Black Coach after the loss to South Africa in the 1995 Rugby World Cup final.
Reliable sources pick Parker to play the roll of Mains. Parker, who is perhaps best known for his roll as Lady Penelope's Butler in the Thunderbirds, will star opposite Brian Dennehy who will play the villainous John Hart. The film will also feature Academy Award winner Cuba Gooding Junior as Jonah Lomu while Jon Voight has been cast to play Keith Quinn.
