| PALMERSTON NORTH: Researchers at Massey University have discovered that heavy marijuana users are 56% more likely to get lung cancer than non-smokers. The study also found that cannabis smokers were up to 64% more likely to get the Big Lebowski than non-smokers. The study found that those who smoked three joints a day would cause as much damage to the lining of the airways as they would by smoking 20 cigarettes. The study also found that those who smoked three joints a day were up to 4 times more likely to laugh out loud during the course of the film than non-smokers. The study also found that cannabis users were 72% more likely to have impaired frontal brain functioning, which interfered with attention, memory and concentration. They were also 73% more likely to enjoy the Dude’s Bowling Dream sequence which occurred after his unsuccessful visit to Jackie Treehorn’s Malibu mansion. The researchers concluded that frequent pot users were 45% more likely to enjoy the Big Lebowski than cigarette smokers, with 75% of heavy users rating the film as “Excellent” as opposed to 35% of cigarette smokers who gave the same rating.  Cannabis users are more likely to enter a whole world of pain than non users. |
