Holmes and Peters to launch debut Xmas duo

<p class="copy">TAURANGA: Just in time for stockings this Christmas, New Zealand television presenter and talkback host Paul Holmes and New Zealand First leader Winston Peters are to release their first ever duo on CD single tomorrow.

<p class="copy"> Set for nationwide release by Sony Music, Holmes’ and Peters’ rendition of “White Christmas” will be available from midnight tonight. It’s rumoured that if the single does well, the two may team up for an album in the New Year which will feature a remake of the Paul McCartney-Michael Jackson duet “Ebony and Ivory”.

“We’re really excited about it [the single],” said Peters. “I think that sales of the single will reflect that most New Zealanders are also dreaming of a White Christmas.”

The B-side is titled “White Christmas (Blue Rinse Mix).” Backing vocals are rumoured to be performed by past talkback king and future king of New Zealand John Banks.
