| ATHENS, GA: The lead singer of the rock band REM, Michael Stipe announced that it was indeed him in the corner last night. He also confirmed that it was him in the spotlight, and that he was losing his religion. His statement went on to assert that life is bigger, bigger than you, but that you are not me. Stipe then seemed to retract some of his earlier statements, saying "Oh no I’ve said too much,” before contradicting himself by mysteriously stating “I haven’t said enough." He then seemed to distance himself further by implying that it was just a dream, just a dream, dream.  Stipe in corner with fellow REM bandmates. |
