WELLINGTON: New Zealand on Air have announced the latest round of television funding for 2002. With a number of interesting decisions being announced.

Not least of which is the highly controversial Overstayer. A reality show in which Host Mary Lambie seeks out over stayers and sends them packing.

Documentaries include The Young and the Testless, an investigation into the 6th former's world of Internal Assessment.

Grandmother's House, a show in the vein of Pioneer House and Survivor and based on literary giant Virginia Andrews' timeless classic. Competitors in the show must escape from their Grandmother's attic and have an incestuous affair with a family member in order to claim cash prizes.

When Massive Attack, an investigation into claims by a group of former Auckland fans of the band Massive Attack who claim that they were assaulted by the group after they toured in 1999.

One of NZ on Air's more unusual decisions seems to be the funding of three seperate one-hour documentaries on former cricketing great Ewan Chatfield. The series to be funded include, Chatting with Chats, You and Me and Ewan and the Ewan Chatfield Story.
