AUCKLAND: A scandal has erupted after it was revealed that the pilot guy featured in Flight Centre advertising is not in fact a real pilot. An investigation has determined that the "pilot" is in fact a model, who was paid by the company to PRETEND to be a pilot, for the purposes of paid promotions.

Suspicion was aroused after it was noticed that the "pilot" in Flight Centre ads was not wearing a standard issue pilot's blazer. In fact, he appeared to be wearing a normal dark suit and a false pilot’s cap, which was probably sourced from a costume store.

The Civil Aviation Authority has expressed concern over the consequences should the untrained impostor take to the skies with a full load of passengers.

"Needless to say, if anybody takes the controls of a fully laden 747 without having received the proper training, the consequences will be disastrous,” said CAA head Bill Jefferries. "We urge the Flight Centre to remove this man from his position immediately, before a major catastrophe occurs."
