Auckland (PA): A man was sentenced to 18 months in prison, yesterday, after being convicted on 10 counts of fraud. Anthony Richard Jones (29), an Accountant of Devonport, pleaded guilty to embezzling $34, 549 whilst working for the Accident Compensation Corporation.

The High Court heard that Jones embezzled the money, and used it to impress leading members of the Business Round Table. Jones hoped that the money would improve his chances of gaining entry into the gang, who Police believe control much of the white-collar crime within the city.
