| DUNEDIN: The first successful Siamese twin seperation was performed in Dunedin Public Hospital yesterday. After six and a half gruelling hours on the operating table the Johanson girls were final seperated at 3:30 yesterday afternoon and are continuing to recover beyond all expectations.
Tara Johanson (13), one of the sperated girls, managed to express her delight at the result of the operation. "I can't believe it, I'm so happy," Tara said "To be honest, before the operation, I would wake up every morning beside myself." |
