| AUCKLAND: Animal rights campaigners are to petition the government this week for funds to increase the availability of computer resources for the nations bovine beasts.
According to Computers for Cows (CFC) national spokeswoman, Lindsey Williamson, the current percentage of cows who have access to computers in this country is amongst the lowest amongst OECD countries. New Zealand is ahead of only Greece and Turkey in computer per cow ratio. "It is very important that all New Zealander's have a chance to succeed in the New Knowledge Economy, stated Mrs Williamson. "And this is as equally important for animals as it is for children, students and other minority groups." ![]() A Waikato cow brushing up on her computer skills. |
