| MASTERTON: Masterton office worker Roger Baird spent last Friday afternoon "multi slacking", by simultaneously surfing the internet, playing minesweeper, updating his CV, emailing his friend in London, flirting with Tracey from Accounts, and listening to a Radiohead album on his CDROM.
This stellar slacking marathon went undetected by Baird's manager, due to his cat-like use of the alt-tab function on his PC to switch to an Excel spreadsheet depicting sales figures over the past financial year. "If only my multi faceted powers could be used for good instead of evil," mused Baird momentarily, before launching a spreadsheet, which calculates the batting and bowling averages of his cricket team, both home and away, for the past three seasons. |
