| WELLINGTON: Wellington man Gavin Trench has missed out on making the Sunday Star Times Top 100 Rich list for 2001. Trench (28) blames the omission on a number of factors including the bursting of the dot.com bubble in April last year, and the poor performance of his Bloodstock and winery related investments over the past six months.
Trench also stated that his student loan was not being reduced by as much as he had hoped. Despite voluntarily increasing his repayments from $40 to $50 dollars a week in August of last year. Trench stated that it was unlikely that he would improve on his standing next year without dramatically reducing the principle of his $20,000 loan. Despite these setbacks Trench had a number of ideas on how to improve his chances of making next years list. Trench was considering taking a weekend position at the Mobil station next door to his Granddad's in Hataitai and maybe even selling his Corolla and walking to work. ![]() Mr Berry's shared flat in Johnsonville |
