WELLINGTON: Brothers and sisters! The battle for production has been won. Completed returns show that the standard of living has risen by no less than 20 per cent over the last year. The Ministry of Statistics have reported Duct tape up by 120 per cent, firewood stoves up by 58 per cent, nylon sheets up by 64 per cent, water up by 38 per cent, dried foods up by 43 per cent, gas masks up by 198 per cent.

All over Oceania there have been spontaneous demonstrations of Party Workers voicing their gratitude and joy.

In honour of this massive over fulfilment of the 93-year plan, it has been announced that chocolate rations have been increased to 25 grams per week.
