AUCKLAND: London is definitely the world's most cultural city, according to recently returned New Zealand tourist Harold Lee. "Why my 2 weeks in London were a blur of delightful galleries, museums, theatres and crack whores," Les told guests at a dinner party he hosted at his Mission Bay house upon his return. "A real highlight of the visit was the National Gallery in Trafalgar Square, where my spirits soared as I savoured works by the most famous of artists, including De Vinci, Moet, Van Gogh and Picasso."

The Tate Modern Gallery on the Thames was a less traditional but more challenging exhibition for the true art lover he added.

Pouring another glass of 1998 Oyster Bay Reserve Sauvignon Blanc for his guests, Lee continued.

"And the theatre in London simply has to be seen to be believed. Not just the usual big productions like Cats and Phantom of course, but there is simply the most divine avant-garde theatre to be found in the back alleys of Soho, which are a true delight to any connoisseur of theatre."

"And speaking of back alleys, the area around Kings Cross hosts a veritable plethora of crack whores," said Lee. "Once you ignore the tendency to convert everything back into New Zealand dollars I found them very reasonably priced. More raspberry mousse anyone?"
